School Hours: Arrival: 8:45 am Dismissal: 3:35 pm *No students are permitted on campus until 8:45* Office Hours: 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
New Leaf Center (NLC) serves ESE students in grades 2-12 and General Education students in grades 2-6. Students are placed at NLC by the MCPS School Board for code of conduct infractions or through IEP committee decisions. NLC utilizes the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, as well as a point system within a token economy and provision of direct instruction. While enrolled at NLC students utilize all MCPS adopted textbooks and curriculum to meet or exceed Florida’s Standards in all core academic areas.
Transportation is provided for every student. Uniforms are required for all students which include: khaki/jeans shorts/pants, any color polo style shirt, no open toe/back shoes. Students are not allowed to wear hoodies. No electronic devices are allowed on campus (including cell phones). No bookbags are allowed on campus. All students will be searched upon entering campus.
