oUR sTORY
Silver River Mentoring and Instruction (SRMI) has been located in Ocala, Florida since 1993. SRMI is a 501(c)(3) organization. SRMI serves boys and girls who have encountered problems in the public school setting. These problems can consist of behavioral issues, multiple suspensions, expulsion from the public school or the student committing a felony.

Behavior Management
SRMI changes behavior and attitudes through a reality therapy based behavior management program based upon "performance precedes award". We make every youth understand that they are responsible for their own actions and those actions precede positive and negative awards.
Funding

SRMI is governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees who are leaders in the community and actively participate in fundraising on the behalf of our youth we serve, in hopes of helping them become successful members of the community.
SRMI is funded by the Marion County School Board and Citrus County School Board. All three campuses receive Title I funding.
